Finally finished and published a 'book' to Kindle last week. 'a daughter of Alexandra.' My head out of the work of editing, I've been poking around looking at other books and writers, finding them to be all over the place in terms of writing and storytelling (in terms of ability). I found Portal to Loch Doon and will purchase and download it later this week to read next week when I'm taking some time off. I think you strike a nice balance between story and character development without forcing it. Allowing the reader to fill in details on their own at their own pace. And your voice is real and 'nice' as I think one reviewer put it. You're only going to get better at it and I look forward to reading you in the future.
Congratulations on your accomplishment. The next high point is when that first sale pops up. It never fails to be exciting.
I appreciate so much your comments about Portal. I know at least 1,000 copies have been sold, but haven't slowed down enough to pull all the spread sheets. This is one that just flowed for some reason. And, I tried not to make it too complicated so all readers could enjoy the story. I would love for you to put a note on my book's page if you're so inclined. A couple of my reviews are not as complimentary. I don't know what they were looking for. In the meantime, I'll take time to look at your new work.

Looks great, Sherry. I need to work on mine but just haven't taken the time. Did you use a template or design that on your own.
