I am excited to announce, with the help of CreateSpace, two of my best sellers are now in book form. It wasn't as difficult as I thought. They are now available on createspace.com and soon on Amazon. How great it was to receive the final proofs and hold them and think, "I have truly written a book." Numbers continue to climb on Portal to Loch Doon sales. It is almost amazing to see how many readers enjoy time travel themes. Those who are curious about bipolar are drawn to The Other Side of Midnight. The latest addition to Amazon and Smashwords Bridge to Long Ago, my second time travel, is gaining speed. It is so rewarding to know that others enjoy my work.
Spring is upon us in Texas. Trees are budding and adding to the allergy season. And the weeds always need attention. Regardless, it is nice to enjoy the miracle of the changes around us. Cheers to you all.

Books soon in print
Portal to Loch Doon and The Other Side of Midnight will soon be available in book form rather than only e-Book formats. Both final drafts were submitted to CreateSpace this weekend and should be online by the middle of March. It will be exciting to hold an actual book instead of reading a monitor. Also, I'll finally get to autograph something! Both Amazon and CreateSpace will have them available for e-purchase.

New Time Travel Historical Romance
Bridge to Long Ago, time travel historical romance, is now more than an idea. It went live today on Amazon and will soon be on Smashwords. (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007301YV4) Just the research for this story and then to understand the woolen trade took over a month. Could you shear a sheep? In two minutes? Placing the main character in 1850 at the beginning of The Industrial Revolution was another challenge. He was changing to adapt to the past, and the time period was reaching for the future. Hope all enjoy it. Authors always watch for kind reviews of their work. If you feel inclined, add a few. Thanks.

5-Star Review for Christmas Story
How wonderful to receive a 5-star review on a holiday short story. Just wanted to share it.
(Christmas Requiem, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006D5OHIC) Also available on Barnes & Noble Nook, Apple, Sony, etc.
Mary Simmons is nearly at the end of her rope. With two children and the proceeds of two meager jobs the only means to support them, the outlook for Christmas is both bleak and lean. It has been a long-time since her ex-husband has bothered to help support his abandoned family and it shows. There may not be even enough money to get the children's small gifts out of layaway.
David Johnson on the other hand has it all. That is, if you consider material possessions and no family everything. The only thing he has to sustain him for the holiday season is to work. There nearly is not enough time to stop and even have his children's presents wrapped in time to mail them across the country so the children can open them without his being present to enjoy it.
One of Mary's part-time jobs is wrapping gifts at the mall and a chance meeting between the two begins to stir a series of events that may give both an opportunity for a Christmas to remember and possibly to enjoy forever more.
This short story is recommended reading for anybody who wishes to feel the heart warming hope that the holiday season can bring.

Christmas Short Story (18,880 words-75 pages)
CHRISTMAS REQUIEM (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006D5OHIC; http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/107975) is a tender holiday story of a single parent trying to just make ends meet and find some way for her children to have a decent Christmas. There is a romantic interest, but the theme is the sorrow, depression, and sadness of those who want to share gladness with others, but have none within themselves. We all look for the silver lining, especially those of us with children. My children had quite lean Christmases some years. The memory of one still lingers when one of my children looked under the tree and turned with tears in blue eyes to ask me if that was all there was. This season, let us remember those who have little because of the economy and pray for the recovery of our country. If possible, give a little extra to those who have nothing. After all, it is really the meaning of the Season. (Also available on Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony, Apple, Kobo, and other e-Book publishers.)

Time Travel Historical Romance still on best seller's list.
Six months after publishing a sweet romance occurring after the heroine travels back in time to Scotland, Portal to Loch Doon remains in the top 100 of Amazon's time travel historical romance category. Who would have thought that a relatively easy read, even with the Scottish dialect, would find itself on over 600 people's Kindles? I am so pleased my work is being appreciated. Portal to Loch Doon's book trailer is now available on You Tube for a brief preview of the beginnings of Marcella and Robert in 17th century Scotland. Of course, this is only one of my nine publications on Amazon. The eight on Smashwords have been approved for their premium catalog and are being distributed to Barns and Noble (Nook), Apple, Sony, Kobo, and others, with excellent results. If you are "into" e-books or have friends or family who are, consider starting your preview on my author's page and branch out. Hope everyone is getting important shopping done before last minute. However, I'm behind, but waiting on the holiday sales. Cheers to all.

Are you making your list?
It is difficult to think that December is just a few days away. Have you begun to make your list of 'must buy' for special people in your life? Even with price cuts, items yet seem to be beyond our means. HOWEVER, with the new Kindle Fire's appearance, the former Kindle e-reader is more than affordable if you cannot get the Fire. It's a perfect gift for one who loves to read and read and read. With the thousands of down-loadable books online, some free, some begin as low as .99, the Kindle is a good deal. And, if you plan on such a gift, you will want to have at least one book already downloaded for the one receiving the present. One might be my latest short story, almost 80 standard pages, Christmas Requiem. It's touching with some humor and well worth the $1.99 price. For young adults through the golden age group, it is a lovely romantic story of hope, faith, and possibly even some miracles of the Season.
Have a look. And shop around for other genres you might enjoy reading yourself. Happy shopping days!
